A person’s destiny is uncertain. Fortune and Fate – are the two sides of destiny that determine a person’s life. A darling of Fortune will be tempted by Fate. But if a person has managed to win Fortune’s affection, he should hold on to this chance. Fortune might turn its back. At that moment, it is important, which side they will choose. The person’s destiny will depend on their choice, their strength and wisdom.

A crowd of people is immersed into darkness and fear, vainly trying to catch Fortune’s attention. But she is looking for her darling – a person with a pure heart. Fortune turns her severe gaze to the people and chooses a young man with a bright soul, opening the Doors for him.

Guided by passions of Fate, the grey mass maliciously attacks the man chosen by Fortune, trying to crush him, and to plunge him into darkness. Fortune saves him and leads him into the beautiful world of Spring and Love.

The youth falls into the kingdom of Flora and Zephyr. Marvelous nymphs charm him. He is surrounded by young and beautiful people. Destiny grants him the love of a beautiful girl. She is modest and pure. Their fire burns bright.

But Fate is watchful. He desires to seduce the young man and misguide him from the path of Fortune. He sends his retinue after the young man.

Temptations, unnoticed until now, appear before the young man. The minions of Fate try to seduce the young man at every step, offering him a new life. He learns the taste of wine and it becomes his passion. He takes up gambling. Women of easy virtue have become his constant companions. The young man gives in to the temptations and follows the minions of Fate. He is enveloped by darkness. Amidst the carnal pleasures, he is visited by a vision of the beautiful girl that used to love him. He realises that her love was his joy of life. Trying to return his love, he breaks away from darkness. But it is too late. He addresses Fortune, begging for salvation, but she is unrelenting and the young man disappears into darkness…

The grey mass continues to reach out to Fortune, who is about to choose her next darling.

Will he manage to keep Fortune’s gift during his life, or will he chose the path of darkness?
